| I am a Clinical Psychologist,
licensed by the State of California. I have a Master's degree from
The Catholic University in Washington, DC, and a Ph.D. from Pacific Graduate
School of Psychology in Palo Alto, CA.
I have extensive training and experience in the
treatment of addictions, and in the use of mindfulness-based stress
reduction (MBSR). I have completed various trainings toward teacher
certification in MBSR under the guidelines of the University of
Massachusetts Medical School's Center for Mindfulness, Health Care and
Society. I participate in ongoing
consultation with Stephanie Brown, PhD, founder of the Addictions Institute
Previously, I have completed training at UC San Francisco, UC
Davis, Towson University (Baltimore, MD), and various Bay Area mental health
organizations.
From 2005-2006, I was Secretary of the Board of the Santa
Clara County Psychological Association. From 2003-2006, I served on
the board of the Silicon
Valley chapter of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence
(NCADD). I was also recently a staff member at San Jose State
University's Counseling Services, Lecturer in the Psychology Department, and
clinical supervisor to students in the university's Clinical Psychology Masters
program. In addition, I served as clinical supervisor to doctoral
students at the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology.
I am a member of the
California Psychological Association (CPA), and the Santa
Clara County Psychological Association.
I operate my private practice in Santa Cruz
and San Jose,
CA.
