I have extensive training and experience in the treatment of addictions, and in the use of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR).  I have completed various trainings toward teacher certification in MBSR under the guidelines of the University of Massachusetts Medical School's Center for Mindfulness, Health Care and Society.  I participate in ongoing consultation with Stephanie Brown, PhD, founder of the Addictions Institute

Previously, I have completed training at UC San Francisco, UC Davis, Towson University (Baltimore, MD), and various Bay Area mental health organizations.

From 2005-2006, I was Secretary of the Board of the Santa Clara County Psychological Association.  From 2003-2006, I served on the board of the Silicon Valley chapter of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD).  I was also recently a staff member at San Jose State University's Counseling Services, Lecturer in the Psychology Department, and clinical supervisor to students in the university's Clinical Psychology Masters program.  In addition, I served as clinical supervisor to doctoral students at the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology.
